Notice the Tektronics waveform monitor in the upper left. This was
a major capital investment for us, even used. It enabled us to
obtain network-quality video levels. Notice the Sony Betacam-SP
VTR in the center right. Now that really cost money.
We included video of Mrs. Fenton, a Nielson family member, in the
hopes she'll watch the show. It didn't work.

The Spud Goodman Show has always been a trailblazer in the effective use
of nontraditional production technologies. When a neighboring butcher
shop's refrigeration compressor introduced unwanted vibration into the
studio floor, Spud's audio engineers countered with the exclusive
IsoBagel Microphone Suspension System which reduced rumble
transmitted through the floor by 10 dB.
